It became the Airsman-Hires Funeral Home in 1986, when Randy Hires began serving the families of Pike County.

Ill health forced Mike to retire from the business and in 1993, Terry Airsman bought what is now the Airsman-Hires Funeral Home. Currently, 4th generation Director, J. Scott Lummis, is just one of the directors who continues to serve the families of Pike County in their time of need. Jess Hires went to work for the Simpson family in 1951, and purchased the business in 1966.
